Carbon For Life is founded on the vision that biochar is an awesome idea, ready to grow tenfold per year until ten billion tons of carbon per year are sequestered.

Carbon For Life's founder, Chris Phoenix, has five years experience in founding and running a tech-focused education-centered non-profit, the Center for Responsible Nanotechnology. In addition to sharing leadership duties with CRN's co-founder Mike Treder, Chris wrote hundreds of pages of text and was invited to speak on four continents. Chris's previous careers include dyslexia correction and software engineering, following an MS in computer science from Stanford University.
